A genuine people person, Robert Hoffman has been in the 'People
Business' essentially all his life.
What is the 'People Business?
Simply stated it is just that: Being in the business of serving people's
needs and wants. As an example Mr. Hoffman relates, "What happened in
the early days of the 20th century to the company that made buggy whips
when the motorcar suddenly roared onto the scene? Well, that depends on
the mindset of the individual company. If it was buggy whips and buggy
whips alone that drove a company, then sure enough they met the fate of all
such niche market providers...but if the company was in the People
Business, then it adapted and began marketing to the new need of the
people: Automotive Accessories! You would certainly have to agree that the
automotive parts and after market industry is very much alive and thriving,
whereas buggy whips...well...you get the idea."
With nearly thirty successful years experience in Sales, Service, Hospitality,
Property Management and other diverse fields, Mr. Hoffman recounts one of
his greatest influences as being the positive input from his parents during
his youth. "When I was a child, my parents engendered in me a positive
attitude toward life. It never occurred to me that I could not achieve anything
once I put my mind to it."
As a youngster Robert Hoffman enjoyed a diversity of influence and
opportunity. From delivering newspapers to playing in local bands, from
artistic design to engaging in agricultural work, Robert was seldom idle. He
spent his teenage years in the Winchester, Kentucky area and even earned
experience as a part time laborer on some of the area's tobacco and cattle
farms. With a straight face and all due seriousness, he claims to have
begun his landscaping career at the age of twelve at which time he
negotiated to borrow his father's lawn mower and arranged to care for the
majority of lawns in the neighborhood where he lived...for a small fee, of
course.
Having never been afraid of getting his hands dirty, Mr. Hoffman has since
earned a wealth of truly unique and valuable experience, as well as the
respect of his co-workers, colleagues, business owners and employees. In
all aspects of management, sales and service, Robert is the 'go to' guy.
